On the road to Emmaus, following His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus encountered two of His disciples. These men were discouraged and disheartened, thinking that the wonderful plan for Jesus to have a kingdom had gone horribly wrong.

Listen carefully to what Jesus said to them in Luke 24:25-27, “And He said to them, ‘O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into His glory?’ And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.”

The Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation is the revealing of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even in the Old Testament, which was all that these disciples had, there were hints and whispers of Christ’s plan, character and nature.

In this devotional, we’ll be discovering some of the types, illustrations and pictures of God the Son; and we’ll realize that His face is everywhere, if we but look!
