Face to Face

From the opening pages of Genesis to the closing promises of Revelation, the Bible tells one grand story. It is the story of a God who progressively reveals Himself so that His people might know Him, draw near to Him, and ultimately behold His face. When sin shattered the fellowship for which humanity was created, God did not abandon His purpose. From that moment forward, Scripture reveals a God who never stopped moving toward the people He loves.

Along the journey, we encounter a guarded garden, a tabernacle filled with glory, a veil that barred the way, prophets who longed for God's face, and the astonishing truth that God Himself came to dwell among us in the person of Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, the barrier was removed. Through the Holy Spirit, God now dwells within every believer. Yet even these extraordinary gifts point to something greater still: the day when faith becomes sight and God's redeemed people will finally see His face.

Every fresh revelation of God's presence invites a response. Will we hide from Him, seek Him, or, beholding His glory, be transformed as we learn to live before His face? As we trace God's presence from Eden to the New Creation, may our love for Christ deepen, our worship grow richer, and our hope become more certain.
