But God

Two short words, used multiple times in Scripture, give hope to the hopeless and courage to the discouraged. Those two words are “but God”.

From the first occurrence in Genesis 8:1, “But God remembered Noah…” to the most wonderful occurrence in Acts 13:30, speaking of our Lord Jesus, “But God raised Him from the dead,” these two words describe a seemingly hopeless situation into which God steps to work His plan.

We would all be lost without “but God” moments in our lives! In this devotional, we’ll be drawing encouragement from some of the many instances in Scripture where we find the words “but God” describing His action in the lives of men.
